New York Urban League Football Classic: Interview with Mike Muse


From the Editor: One highlight of the NY Urban League Football Classic was the support of the one and only Mike Muse! Mike Muse is the co-founder of Muse Recordings, a celebrated record label with partnerships including the NFL, NBA, McDonalds, Starbucks, and Chrysler. Mike Muse is also a prominent radio commentator on the music business and pop culture and has lectured at Berkeley College, Wharton, NYU, the University of Michigan, UCLA, and the University of Miami.  A recipient of numerous awards including the 100 Black Men of America Achievement Award and the Kappa Alpha Psi Reginald F. Lewis Achievement Award, Mike Muse served on campaign and finance committees for Newark Mayor Cory Booker, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and President Barack Obama and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Holcombe Rucker School of Community Research, among other honors.

NY Urban League Young Professional Mikaella Charles interviewed Mike Muse at the New York Urban League Football Classic. He shared his thoughts on the event: “I’m here with the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. I’m blessed to be a member and they’re throwing a tailgate party on my behalf here at the New York Urban League Football Classic Today. I’m so excited: the first thing I did getting here was touch the turf on the field. Mike Muse 2.5 is here: get excited for next year!
